A Toothache And A Visit To The Dentist!

Published by

I’ve been wandering around the streets of England for a long time now. I’ve stuck to my diet. I’ts been difficult but then there is always a way to get around eating all that enticing food that is displayed in the restaurant windows. I’m not going to mince words. It’s not easy to snack on a celery stick when you can see some enjoying a chocolate mousse! It has never been easy and it is never going to be easy but I have always managed to come out on top and ignore the temptations that surround me. I’ve worked too hard to shed all those excess pounds!

I’ve never been a big fan of keeping a diet. I’ve learnt not to starve myself. The key to losing weight is not to over indulge myself! That’s why every weekend, I treat myself to something nice. It’s fun and it gives me something to work for. Every time, I step onto the scale and see that I’ve lost a pound, I find myself more motivated to succeed.

AppleWith the arrival of spring, I’ve found the markets come alive with color. Numerous vendors have stocked up their carts and shops with fresh fruits and flowers. I’ve always loved fruits and luckily for me they fit within my diet. Yesterday, I found myself gazing at these really red apples. They looked so delicious that I decided to buy one and eat as I walked. After a quick chat with the lady who owned the stall, I picked up my apple and paid her for it. I then proceeded on my way and started munching on my juicy apple.

A few bites in and my tooth yelled out in pain. It was pain like I had never experienced before. I quickly put the apple away in a bag and called my mum. She would know what to do, I thought. Unfortunately for me, Mum had no home remedy that I could follow. Instead, she told me to find the nearest dentist.

DentistLuckily for us we live in an age where technology comes to our rescue. With a few clicks on my mobile, I scoured the internet for a good dentist nearby. It took me a while to navigate through the lanes. I must admit that I even got a little lost. I’ve never been very good at reading maps! Google maps does have a blue dot that moves as you go so it does make things easier.

After an hour of wandering around, I finally came across a place that looked very nice and did not have the cold ‘do not enter’ feeling attached to most dentist’s clinics. It took me a while to get an appointment. Luckily, someone realized that I was in pain and they moved my appointment forward.

It took a while for the dentist to treat the cavity that had formed in my tooth. While the procedure was not pleasant, it was definitely not painful. For that I was really grateful. They were definitely one of the best dentists in town. I’m glad I took my Mum’s advice and went to them!
